The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, Community and Belonging, the Coordinator will lead the successful delivery of the Women in Skilled Trades Retention Program at SAIT. The program is designed to support the recruitment and retention of women in construction and manufacturing trades using transformative strategies focused on removing barriers, proactive interventions and culture change.
Working across the academic schools and various apprenticeship support services, the Coordinator will focus on several in scope trades including: Bricklayer, Cabinetmaker, Carpenter, Electrician, Gasfitter, Insulator, Iron worker, Plumber, Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Roofer, Sheet metal worker, Mobile crane operator, Steamfitter/pipefitter, Welder and Machinist.
The Coordinator will also utilize project management best practices to promote, deliver and evaluate the effectiveness of the retention program against expected outcomes and key performance indicators....
