Responsibilities
Tasks
- Install, repair, and replace metal roofing systems using hand and power tools
- Measure, cut, and fit metal roofing materials to specifications
- Install roof-related sheet metal flashings, copings, caps, and trims
- Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal
- Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Fit and join sheet metal parts
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes
- Load and unload roofing materials and equipment to work area
