Concrete Formwork Carpenters, Formsetters & Labourers

Locations: Guelph, Hamilton, Dundalk, Pickering & Scarborough, Ontario

Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd. is currently looking for Concrete Formwork Carpenters, Journeypersons, Formsetters, and Labourers to join our Civil Construction team on projects throughout Guelph, Hamilton, Dundalk, Pickering, and Scarborough, Ontario. Qualifications & Responsibilities

  • Correctly interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans
  • Build, install, assist with, and remove concrete formwork systems
  • Pre-fabricate gang forms and job-built stick forms
  • Assist with stripping and removal of concrete forms after pours
  • Provide support to the Concrete Foreman with project layout and elevation shooting
  • Help manage and prevent occupational hazards and ensure the site meets all safety standards
  • Install or assist with the installation of form ties and miscellaneous formwork hardware
  • Align, straighten, plumb, and square forms for installation
  • Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces, and other temporary structures
  • Construct or assist with suspended slabs and other concrete structures
  • Install or assist with the installation of handrails
  • Report unsafe work practices or safety hazards to the Foreman
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
