RR Infrastructure Ltd. is seeking one (1) full-time Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

Work location: Main reporting: Stouffville, ON. The employee may also be assigned to various construction/project sites in the GTA and surrounding areas.
Wage: CAD $37.00 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day
Overtime: CAD $55.50 per hour after 44 hours per week, in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation
Vacation pay: 4%
Vacation entitlement: 10 days per year, or as required by applicable employment standards legislation
Pay frequency: Weekly

Main duties:
- Inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain heavy-duty construction equipment, including excavators, backhoes, skid steers, dump trucks and related equipment.
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance to reduce equipment downtime during active work periods.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine-related issues.
- Service and maintain equipment attachments and related components.
- Complete repairs on-site, in-house, or at the company’s main shop, as required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for equipment and fleet units, including records required for MTO and CVOR compliance, where applicable.
- Order or coordinate parts, fluids and materials required for maintenance and repairs.
- Work with the Health and Safety Manager and site teams to ensure safe maintenance practices and proper documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe workspace at the shop and on job sites.
- Perform incidental fleet maintenance on company vehicles and trailers when required, provided the primary focus of the role remains heavy-duty/construction equipment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or in a closely related occupation.
- Experience repairing and maintaining heavy-duty construction equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, preventative maintenance and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret repair manuals, service records and technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and safely at the shop and on construction/project sites.
- A valid driver’s licence is required.
- Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification, Red Seal endorsement, or equivalent trade training is considered a preferred asset.
- English language ability sufficient to perform the work safely and effectively.
