Estimator - Demolition

Hersey Demolition is looking for a full-time estimator to join our growing team!

POSITION SUMMARY: The estimator will be responsible for accurate and timely estimates of project costs, including materials and labour. The estimator will be expected to prepare and manage all details related to unit costs and labour rates, anticipate productivity and other factors that may impact efficiency and timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Master using software and systems to complete accurate quotes for demolition projects
• Willing and able to visit project sites across Ontario
• Deliver complete and professional estimates for customers, and coordinate follow-up phone/in-person meetings
• Actively seek out new business partnerships and potential clients, while maintaining current relationships
• Work with team members and managers to determine project details and needs to ensure timely completion

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 2-3 years experience in cost estimation for demolition or construction
• Post-secondary background or certification in a related field (construction or similar)
• Strong computer skills using Microsoft office applications and quotation/bid software
• Ability to read and interpret building schematics
• Knowledge of machines, tools and equipment needed to complete projects
• Knowledge of safe operation of tools and equipment
• Valid driver’s license
