Our Thunder Bay location in Ontario, Canada is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Power Engineering Student - Thunder Bay Pulp and Paper Mill. This job is temporary, full-time.

 

Power Engineering student opportunities.

We are seeking talented individuals to join our Thunder Bay Operations team starting in May for at least a four month student placement term.

 

Your primary Responsibilities will include the following:

  • You will work in the Steam Plant or Recovery Department assisting engineers.

 

Requirements:

  • Candidates must currently be enrolled in a power engineering program at a Canadian college and be able to start their paid placement in May of 2023 for at least a four month term.
  • Candidates must be eligible to legally work in Canada at the time of applying for the position.
  • Candidates must have completed at least their first year of the program at the time of the placement.
  • Candidates must be willing to work at the site in Thunder Bay.
  • Selected students will work 12 hour shifts at an hourly rate of at least $22.55.

  • Strong interpersonal skills required, including an ability to work collaboratively within a fast paced and structured environment,
  • Strong communication skills,
  • Demonstrated ability to balance priorities along with strong organizational methods,
  • The ideal candidate will possess the drive and passion to continuously improve upon the health and safety, efficiency, production and cost targets for the Department.
