Service Electrician/PLC Programmer

• College Diploma in Electronics Electrical or Electrical Engineering Degree.
• Experience in PLC Programming (preferably Omron PLC’s).
• Experience in Robotic Programming (preferably Motoman)
• Preferably a Licensed Industrial Electrician (442A)
• Ability to work independently
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Custom Equipment Manufacturing Environment

A) Programming and troubleshooting PLC programs, Servo Motor Programming, Electrical design, Robotic path programming, troubleshoot all equipment related to blow moulding, machines. Indexing tables, servo drives, and hydraulic power units.

B) Review schematics for electrical and pneumatic circuits using AUTO CAD software and communicate/advise to the maintenance personnel regarding fault analysis.

C) Review the Operator Interface Controls, adjust and modify as required to meet process requirements.

D) Training of Junior Technician.

E) Ongoing development of PM Programs to support production.

F) Training of Maintenance in correct PM methods.

G) Commissioning and start up of machines at customer locations.

H) Selection of appropriate cost effective components & ordering.

I) Troubleshooting and service of equipment as required

J) Design / program/implement safety on equipment that meets the local safety standards where equipment is intended for (CSA / OHSA/ NEC /CE).

K)Facilitate manufacturing of equipment with the team.

L) Facilitate Wiring and building of electrical PLC panels

M) Vision System selection & programming
