Job Description

Busy manufacturer and distributor of packaging equipment and end of line automation requires an experienced Field Service Technician. Our Field Service Technicians are responsible for repairing, installing and maintaining a large line of packaging equipment. These individuals maintain and build trusted customer relationships out in the field through solid technical expertise and broad product knowledge while exhibiting a high degree of diligence and integrity.

This position requires knowledge of service and repair techniques involving diagnosing and correcting malfunctions of packaging and product handling equipment. This technician will perform field service consisting of adjusting, aligning, assembling, calibrating, inspecting, lubricating and testing of packaging and product handling equipment. The successful applicant will have a strong electrical knowledge, good troubleshooting skills, mechanical knowledge, a clear understanding and ability to read wiring diagrams. The candidate would be required to work with limited supervision.

Priority will be given to those with past experience in one or more facets of this position. Additional consideration will be given to those applicants who have completed electro-mechanical courses. The requirements of this position are:

• High school diploma (minimum)
• College graduate of a Mechanical - Electrical - Electronic course would be an asset applicants with a Millwright 433a or electrical licence will be preferred but not required applicant with related experience will also be considered
• Excellent mechanical/electrical/electronic aptitude
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent time management with good task prioritization
• Desire to constantly learn and improve one's skills and knowledge
