Your challenges:

This unionized hourly position will work within the Utilities Department and become a dues paying member of Local 865 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. 

Your primary Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Produce tall oil from soap by the means of soap stripping from black liquor to be batch cooked with sulphuric acid,
  • Arranges to receive/ship rail cars,
  • Load/unload turpentine and tall oil rail cars to safely transport,
  • Run QA/QC checks on products to ensure quality targets are obtained,
  • Isolate and prepare safe work permits as needed to facilitate maintenance,
  • Perform other duties as assigned,
  • The current hourly rate of pay is $32.003 and the current work schedule is Monday to Friday eight (8) hours/day but can be altered as determined by the Company.

Your profile:

  • Candidates must have the ability to legally work in Canada and be living in Canada at the time of applying for the position,
  • Candidates must have a valid Ontario 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate at the time of applying for the position,
  • Candidates must have strong computer skills,
  • Candidates must have the ability to read and interpret information and carry out instructions,
  • Candidates must have the ability to balance priorities and work with minimal supervision.
