Abram began operation in 1924 when Arthur Abram immigrated from Leeds, England. Upon arrival in Canada, Arthur Abram began to work as a “tinker” or “tinsmith” as they were called in years gone by. He repaired milk cans, tin pails and a variety of other things prevalent to that day.

When the evolution of the home heating system introduced the need for ductwork for gravity and forced air ducting systems, Abram saw this new opportunity and began the sheet metal manufacturing operation needed to supply ductwork for all types of heating systems most of us are familiar with today. With the growth in home comfort moving from primarily heating to now include air conditioning, Abram began to support and service the heating and cooling equipment now found in almost every home. With the introduction of these systems came the next generation in Russell Abram who was eager to expand Abram Sheet Metal Inc. beyond that of a small residential heating company.

old_pic_and_dirtbike_010The company expanded into the commercial HVAC industry to become a major competitor in the southwestern Ontario area for all types of heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems. Along with this expansion came the need for a larger presence in the service and repair industry. This resulted in another division of Abram Sheet Metal Inc. known as Abram Refrigeration and Systems.

Abram Refrigeration and systems services all types of heating, cooling, ventilation systems, as well as commercial style refrigeration equipment you see in grocery stores and restaurants.

Our company has continued to expand into other markets to include Energy Management Systems, Computer Controlled Comfort, High Efficiency Gas Furnaces, Geothermal Heating and Cooling Systems, Heat Recovery Ventilation, Preventative Maintenance Programs, Gas Fireplaces and Indoor Air Quality Control only to name a portion of services available to you the consumer.

Now owned and operated by the third generation of the Abram family, our company still remains a strong family owned business with a large competent staff committed to servicing Sarnia and surrounding area with honesty and integrity.

With our large fleet of 40 vehicles, we service Sarnia-Lambton, Wallaceburg, Grand Bend, Strathroy and surrounding areas.
