CORPORATE BIOGRAPHY

        Packaging Machinery Concepts Ltd. was established in 1999 by two partners. Since 2003, the company has been run by one principal with approximately a dozen employees. Our key employees have more almost one hundred years of experience in plant automation and packaging equipment. 

        We are truly uniquely situated in the marketplace in that 50% of our business is catalogue (distribution of equipment manufactured by leading, primarily North American firms) and 50% is custom (design, construction and modification of equipment).         Our market focus is food manufacturing which typical comprises 75% to 80% of our volume. The balance of our business comes from consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical and automotive. Our annual sales exceeds $5,000,000. We sell and service equipment all over North America. Our long time customers include such recognized names as: 3M Canada, Acco Brands, Give & Go Prepared Foods, Dr. Oetker, Nestlé, LUSH Manufacturing, Novolex, Weston Bakeries Limited and Wholesome Harvest (Grupo Bimbo). 

        We are a SolidWorks® certified user with two workstations equipped with SolidWorks Premium. We design equipment and systems up to 10,000 parts exclusive of fasteners. We design equipment with product cycling of up to 300 parts per minute although most of our applications are in the range of 30 to 100 parts per minute. Our solutions concentrate on reciprocating motion. We do not involve ourselves in solutions with continuous mechanical motion. Our in-house fabrication capabilities consist of milling, turning, welding in TIG and MIG, saw cutting and full assembly. We design and build our own panels and have multiple licenses of Rockwell Studio 5000. We out source waterjet and laser cutting, shearing and braking.

        Our technicians are fully qualified to work on large work sites where sophisticated safety rules and procedures are in force. Our company is an ISN® (ISNetworld) certified contractor which entails rigorous training and documentation standards. We are proud Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) member and are qualified to use and display the Made In Ontario logo.
