The Class ‘A’ Mechanic will perform a wide range of maintenance and preventative maintenance activities including repair and maintenance of Toronto Port Authority’s vehicles and/or equipment. This position will accurately maintain vehicles and/or equipment records by recording service and repairs, keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, and maintain necessary supplies. This is a Union represented position belonging to CUPE Local 416 RESPONSIBILITIES: General activities and functions include, but are not limited to: - Preventive maintenance servicing all vehicles and equipment. - Service and repair to all vehicles to MTO regulations. - Satisfactorily carry out inspections and mechanical/hydraulic repairs to all types of equipment i.e., lawn mowers, outboards, boom trucks, front-end loaders, etc. - Satisfactorily carry out inspections and mechanic/hydraulic repairs to marine equipment i.e., tugs, ferries, work boats, outboards, etc. - Service...
